Touran 1.9 service light reset

    hi all, have my mates VW touran at the mo, does anyone know how to reset the service light??

    Do you mean on the display on the clocks??

    If so you need VAGCOM for this

    it depends, do you want the variable service reset? if so its vagcom, or you can re-set via the clock buttons, but this will put it back on fixed 10k miles or 12month servicing

    fixed -

    1) Hold down the wrench button (right hand of the trip reset button).
    2) While holding the wrench button, turn on the ignition.
    3) The computer will now show something like: 'Service Now'.
    4) Release the wrench button.
    5) Now, press and release the the min (right hand of the h button).
    6) Turn off the ignition.
    7) Done.

    bit like the mk5's then! big thank you to you all! bunged it on the old VAG COM in the end but another usefull tip!
