Towing a car with a bar whats the better type?

I need to tow a car twice in one day but I dont have a towbar so no A frame. What would be the better towing device to use?

I have a bar which ive used a lot. Its ideal for sort distance up to 20 miles etc any more would be hard work. You can get 2 types the more expensive ones have a spring and damper in the middle.

bought this one the otherday http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/tb-2s-towing-bar-with-spring-damper looks like a good bit of kit for the money, havent had to use it yet though.

 

I've used one of them.. Did its job well and took loads of abuse.

 

Good to know, you normally cant buy much for 20quid new anymore but it seems like a alot of tool for the money.
