    how does it work?

im working for a friend of the family at the moment, and he has told me that i can go under his trade policy he has, and there are about 6 people on it. he said itll cost me 750 a year and that under this i can drive any car i wish, up to a 2 litre and i will be insured. now this sounds very promising, indeed (as i have a 2 litre practically begging to go in my escort rebuilt and waiting in the shed) but im unsure as to how it works, and what sort of cover ill be getting, and so on.

can anyone shed any light on them for me?

I'm on my mates policy like this, and i'm fully comp on any car except a Lotus Carlton(!) and 3rd party on any bike my license covers. Having a traders policy that only covers up to 2.0 litre sounds a bit dodgy tho [:s]

Go for it. My mate was an out of work mechanic with a prepaid trade
policy and he got some cash in hand work delivering cars and doing
airport runs ( for people in their own cars) and even got a drive in COB1
(one of the original Cobras in the UK) under the premise that he was
    setting up it's carbs.
