anyone know the part numbers i need for tt pedals to go into a mk2? it was a top tip in one of the mags a while ago but i cant find it now
you need (I think!) 1 lhd accelerator 8N1721647B 2 clutch pedals 8N0721174A01C best thing to do is phone Bob Lawson at Sloane VW 0131 346 1508 he has them in stock, does them mail order and knows which ones you'll need for a mk2
got them on my mk3 but the accelerator keeps falling off :/ i definately asked for the LHD one but i think i'm going to need to either glue it on or file the sides of the pedal down a bit.
you need to bend it a bit because its a slightly more curved (or less curved cant remember!) mine came off a couple of times but is ok now ... if not use a splodge of silkaflex on it
sounds like you're not puttin in on properly as mine's on and stays on..but did take a bit of fidling with. i suspect you haven't bent it straight enough, also i put it on right side first...found it easier that way. you shouldn't need glue (on mkIII's at least) also, for mkII's i 'd actaully go for one brake and one clutch (as you would for mkIII's) and then cut the rubber bobble of the back of the brake, as they have a thingy on the side to stop you gettin your foot caught behind the brake pedal, its on the other side of the clutch pedal. Here's theAudi part numbers Robert Lawson at Sloan VW says you should get for a mk2: 1) 8N0-721-174-A-01C qty 2 2) 8N1-721-647-B  ; qty 1
I had to do that to get R32 pedals to fit my MK4, let alone a MK3! They are fiddly things, need some creativity to fit right no matter what the car - I ended up trimming loads of rubber off the brake pedal so the metal cover would stay on top
isnt that what I posted at the top? the mk3 ones go on quite easy (bit of washing up liquid helps) you just need to bend the accelerator to fit properly... Graham if you do need some silkaflex I'll bring it to the next meet
you don't have to cut the bobble for mkIII's, i didn't think you had to for mkIV's either. thought it was there to guarantee that the pedal cover couldn't come off. mkII's don't have the whole in the pedal for it (and i'd have thought mkI's wwre the same). i may be fitting some audi covers to my girlie's polo over xmas.
