well, you're o.e. ones are probably worn out (and golf's don't have a cover on the throttle). these ones are have the same conturs but only the raised bits are rubber, the rest is ally...and they look lovely. there also a lot better than buyin universal ones from halfrauds as they require no drilling.

Acc. pedal comes with a bend in it which i think you have to straighten very slightly.

They have a rubber bit on the back with a lip rounds it which sort of slids over the pebal with the lip underneath to stop it from falling off. They take about 2 minutes to fit and no cutting/drill or anything is needed.

yeah, bargain arent they!!! On there old forum there is some pics of the R32 ones too, i think they are a little more expensive though....

Just make sure you dont get them from ebay. They used to be cheaper than they are now so loads of people were buying them and then selling them on ebay for three times the price they were at the dealers and the accelerator pedal was wrong!! Dont see them on there now really since everyone realised what they were.....

Similar thing is going on with the 16/G60 key blanks at the moment, the amount of people getting ripped of is unbelievable......... [xx(]

The rubber bits are in the shape the R32 logo. They didnt look as nice as the TT ones IMO.

    I'll have a look for a pic.......

Here's the pedal shape as it comes from VW.

And here's how it needs to be straightend to fit the golf pedal. Adeally the pedal on the car needs to be filed down slightly on each side to make it a bit thinner.

I also used some silicone sealant to glue the accelerator pedal on for good measure.

Oh yeah, heres a pic of the R32 jobbies.

harry - what did you use to bend the pedal...and was it hard to bend or like cheese?

think the r32 ones wouldn't giva as much grip as the tt ones...from the look of them.

I used my knee i just pressed the pedalcap against it, the metal is firm but it will bend to shape with a little force.

I remember in the golf mag when they got a go in the R32 they said the pedals were a bit slippery.

BHecause of the rubber that grips the pedal or the shape of the pedal??

it's more the rubber that grips the pedal. i've managed to get it on fairly tight now, although ideally i need to file a few mm off either side of the pedal, because at the moment it's fairly easy to just pull off! i'll see if it comes off whilst driving and if it does i'll just get the file out! they do look mint tho!!
