Tuned 16v motors...What plugs??

Discussion in '16-valve' started by chrismc, Oct 26, 2005.

  1. I got standard 13 amp MK 3-pin plugs - didn't even fucking fit!
I will NOT be buying parts at B&Q again, their staff are virtually useless...... [:x] [8(]

Well ive settled for 4 NGK BCP6ET plugs...

Equivalent to the Bosch jobbies in there now & 4 for the price of 3 at Halfords ;)

    Bosch Super 4 R1 671 F56 and standard leads.

Might try the Magnecor leads next as they are only slightly more expensive.

Plugs I use are NGK R BCR8ES, cossie plugs - one step colder than 7's.

Probably too cold for your motor Chris but you may want to try em, the
electrode insulation on 7's used to go completely green and start to fall
apart on mine, hence the change to a slightly cooler plug.

When I was running 200hp, the 7's were fine.

At what CR would we think that using colder plugs might be needed? ;)
