    Hi guys,
Had my mk2 16v KR a few years now and have never been able to get it running just right. Looking back at the paperwork it's had schrick 268 inlet and 272 exhaust cams fitted 20 years ago. It always seems to be running rich. I think everything else is standard on it. The last mot the hydrocarbons were really high. Is it the cams that are causing me not to be able to get the mixture right?

    Hi there.
How do you know it is running rich and that is contributing to what you describe as poor running?
HCs can be high mind because of cam overlap, but that does not have to be the cause of poor running.

Your engine is fitted with modified cams and what you have not detected yet, so do not expect factory settings for MOT.

Stealth Racing is worth a trip for K-Jet setup.

I have Kent 1602r's in my 16v and had an interesting time tuning idle an low revs on EFI.
