I'm running the same engine but on K-Jet. Running standard ABF cams it held power until 7k.

yeah with the abf cams mine also screamed round to 7000revs so i was disapointed when i drove it with the kr cams, especiallywhen everyone i speak to says the kr ones are better. the only thing i can think of is that it is now running lean

The ABF and KR cams are very similar. Nothing between them in practice. It's only the 9a cams that need binning.

ABF cams have more lift than KRs but less duration, you sure that you've not fitted 9A cams?

As Tub says, no point changing ABF cams for KRs :)

schrick 260's, flowed head and a TSR mk2 16v manifold gave my ibiza's ABF 186 bhp and 158 lb ft

I've seen ABF cars at AMD with a simple re chip and filter produce a healthy 170 + bhp and strong torque.

Geoff always seemed to recommend this on a standard car as they are set up very lean from the factory on the standard ECU settings.

They used to specialise in the MK3 scene heavily and 200 bhp was said to be relatively easy to achieve using a flowed head and Schricks using AMD software.

I'd put your original cams back in and contact Vince at Stealth for a re programmed ECU for more grunt.

ported head and shrick cams looks like the best next step, pricey tho, head approx 400, cams about the same remap, 2-400

today i put the abf cams back in and it is deffinatly better, they give less low down but much better from 4000-7000revs.I also tried a vr6 fuel pressure reg which makes it more responsive .but im going to save up for a remap from stealth, vince said it will be about 250pounds

Watch out with wild cams and mot emission tests..

Editied `cause I`m and idiot, you can get away with quite high emissions on a 91 car!
