So apart from from cams and stuff whats the basic things that can be done to PL 16v? I'm used to KR's so kinda lost with PL's...........is Vince the man to take it too?
As far as I'm aware Dave, the PL is the Euro spec KR, the only difference that I know of is that it runs a cat - I dont know if this is like the US spec 9A tho, running different ECU management, like KE Jetronic like on the passat 9A's over here Have a dig via google, should come up with something, essentially its the same block as a KR tho
The differences between the KR and PL (those that I know): - PL has cat - PL has different intake cam (smaller duration) - KR is K-Jet and PL is KE-Jet - KR has 60mm fuel pump, PL has 52mm Allan Edited by: allan
PL is similar to the 9A CIS-E and all that. Did I hear right once something about a device to control emission which can be disconnected or am I talking rollocks yet again?
i use super(leaded) fuel in my kr since 1987 i oun the car can i use unleaded fuel??? should i have eny problem??? thanks
