    Hi Guys,

Picked up my 1.8 T 3 weeks ago [:D] and am just wondering why as a GTI turbo it does not have a red "I" on the GTI badge?

    Its a 99 T reg, 5 door.

    Thanks in advance.

    Trev

The `Red I` (or any other red lettering) doesn`t actually mean anything. Some have it, some don`t...

I'm pretty sure it was down to the dealers/original owners which, if any, badging came on the car.

Back then everyone thought anything with GTI on the boot was the devil.

I also heard the red "I" is good for +5 bhp, so who knows!!!*
