I hope this hasn't been covered... can't find an answer using the search. Anyway, I have a replacement 020 4T box and was just checking it went into all gears while it's not on the car. Goes into all gears no worries. However, I can turn the gear box flanges easily by hand in every gear except reverse (turning the flange in either direction). I'm curious, is that normal? I had a read on Broke VW and can't really find an answer. Cheers (in advance!).
