If i'm running 195/45x15 on my mk1 then what is the best tyre pressures. I'm running mine at 31 PSI and was wondering if this is making the car ride very hard.

I have 195/50 15s on my MK1 and run the fronts at about 29 with the rears a little lower. When I run the standard 13" wheels I keep them at about 32psi.
45 series tyres won't help the hard ride.

Yeah about 26 - 30ish front with a little less rear. Altering the pressures front and rear is a very cheep way of fine tuning the balance, handling and overall grip of the car. To reduce traction at one end either under or over inflate the tyres. Over inflating them is the most predictable of the two.

I still need to sort my alloys out though, the O/S front alloy is furked and needs inflating once a week [:x]
