    Mk2 16v running currently on Eagle F1 GSD2's on 205/40/17.

I need new tyres, i have loved the Eagles, but they have faded badly very quickly......and i am using the car alot.

I have also found the 40 profile is very very hard with the koni suspension.

Presumably i could go for 205/215 or 40/45 profile easily fitting under the arch???

Anyone got any suggestions for tyre sizes and good prices. I have found Toyo Proxies for 65 a corner for 205/40/17's on mytyres.net

    Any suggests welcome please!

    Cheers

Toyos are a softer side wall than Eagles... but last half as long.

If you want long life, get Michelins.

I had 215 under my old 8v arches for a time... depends how much room you have under yurs though.

Couldn't comment on Michelins performance between their different tyres. But my dads passat has Michelin Pilot Exatlo's on, and they don't seem too bad.

You've got Koni adjustables? Well adjust them then!

My mom has Michelin Pilots on and they have lasted ages. I've had a pop at them too and they seem to be ok.

my GF has pilot Exalto's all round, they are a good tyre, good in dry and wet.

Only thing is when it comes to michelin, they aint cheap. We got hers from a wholesaler called Costco, when they had a 4 for the price of 3 offer on.

If they cost 30% more than F1's, are they gonna last more than 30% longer is the question u gotta ask yourself.
