    I have actually got one of the new mark five golf gee tee eyes.

    its a nice car, it has nice things inside of it. :)

    I supplied the Mk3 GTI for the shoot (it's my wife's car), click link below for my report from the day

    It was a good day for everyone, none of us got paid a bean (well maybe a coffee bean as coffee was all we got given) but it was an enthusiasts dream to be there at such a seminal time in the history of the Golf GTI.

    Shame that a CGTI member couldn't supply a standard Mk1 GTI (not sure they were asked to be honest as deadline was very short) as the VW Press Mk1 (albeit with 38k miles) is a bit of a dog up close and the bodykit and wheels don't seem right on a car that's meant to be 'typical'.

    Yes it was fun, kind of!
    We all got wet and cold but I was dried out fully by the time I got back to Birmingham 2.5hrs later!

    ..at least the steady rain meant that there was no point in cleaning the cars when we got there - which was a bonus! ;)
