Rapid! Loved this car since the day I saw it at the Brighton Speed Trials. Walked the Shelsley hill a couple of years back - 25-30 minutes, ambling about! Quick cars are up in < 30 seconds Bit more on the internet - search Google on "Endean Puma" www.pistonheads.tv/clip1275
It's a no-expense-spared thing, 4WD, BD-something engine, ~ 650 brake (probably more by now), seq, box etc. I think he's done mid/high 9s at Brighton and was hoping to get into the 8s sometime soon, from a chat I had with his mechanic. It's basically everything he could think of packaged up into what I gather is the Sports Libre class. Roof and a few other bits are still metal, rest is carbon/kevlar. From another thread:
Chatting to a mate from Guernsey its now RWD and even more power! The guy's workshop is as sterile as a bloody laboratory. Seeing that thing fly up Bouley bay in Jersey was amazing! Another guy in gsy aka Bunman has had Mike Endean sort out the diffs and box doe his 650 brake angelia, its a worth of art!
Its defo RWD for the moment, its been done to demostrate what xtrack can do, well for a price. Mike Endean is still the cheif advisor for Xtrac. They currently doing alot fo work for a C4 Euro cross car too. Last time the Puma was seen it was with out motor as well.
Well Charlie, that boggles the mind! I heard it was in for a big re-engineer around the front suspension, late 2006, but the RWD bit with all that power.... eak!
definatley 4wd, unless it has driveshafts for show at the front. no way on earth it would do 1.6 to 60 times otherwise. as a side note my 2litre mallock is quicker
It certainly used to be 4WD, but Charlie seems to have got some info that it is now RWD. The mind boggles
