This may help clean the metering head, just found in another thread c/o rubjonny.

 

GSF sell GTi tanks too , not too dear IIRC...

 

thanks chaps, going to gsf later to try get a lift pump. im guesing that mk2 and mk1 lift pumps are the same going by the same part numbers on ETKA.... we shal soon see

 

ok so today i replaced the lift pump that i got for 14 and cleaned the metering head and the car is alot better... i think i may also need to clean the injectors but thats tomorows job... thanks for the help chaps

 

Good news and as always I learned a few things ...
