I assume its pretty normal to pick up the odd rattle or two when uprating the standard suspension.... unfortunately the tailgate is rattling on my golf despite having maneuvered the lock mechanism & attachment pin. Have de-locked the back end & removed the wiper mechanism & sourcing a solenoid with dash operated release shortly... Maybe the lack of weight in the tail gate now these items have been removed is allowing the door to bounce more than usual? Anyone know any top tips to stop this rattling? Thanx
put a rag inbetween it and slam it shut if thats stops the rattle then you should probly adjust acordingly if not it might be internal in that case expanding foam into the recess or sound deaden it
there should be 2 rubber stoppers on the boot lid, if you unwind these a bit it puts more tension on the bootlid
