Hi guys and gals, I'm trying to sort out my interior on the mk2 and while I love the original seats that are in they are a tad snug shall we say for my bigger frame, mk3 seats are much more comfortable so I was thinking of fitting one in and having it retrimmed to suit, my problem is having found some to suit, some folk claim its a direct swap between 2's & 3's and others say you have to bend the frame or cut and re-weld the frames?? Anyone got any thoughts please?

Mk3 to mk2 is not a direct swap. Some cutting/fettling and welding is required.

Mk3 seats aren't more comfortable, often just less worn out.

I've got some recaros that are ment to be out of a mk2 and if anything they dig in a little more, I'm quite tall and broard with it, my vr6 seats were uber comfy though

    X2 on that

I will eventually buy a set for mine. My friend recently sold his mk2 which had a full blue edition 1 recaro, which he removed before selling. I'm hoping he'll do me a deal :)
