Urgent help RE seat subframes (golf,rado)

    Right.....

    Ive chopped my old golf seats off their subframes, and welded two steel sections across them to fit my new cobra daytona seats :)

    Problem is, as you can see from the pics, the seat sits 'on' the subframe now, rather than 'in' it, like the arse-section of the original golf seat does (it curves down between the two side bars). As the cobra seat floor is flat, it immediately starts off 2 inches higher than the original seats.

    Now, im 6ft 3, so even on the lowest setting, my head is hitting the roof :o :(, which is a problem, to say the least! Im not sure how i can overcome this problem, the actual cobra subframes that u can buy with the seats are still too high, i was wondering whether the corrado subframes were physically smaller, allowing more room, if i welded in those 2 sections like i did on these golf frames.

    I dont suppose anyone has any ideas / could possibly take pics of their corrado subframes, which would be much appreciated! :)

    Mk2 Scirocco subframes fit a Mk2 Golf perfectly and sit lower.........
