Right..... Ive chopped my old golf seats off their subframes, and welded two steel sections across them to fit my new cobra daytona seats Problem is, as you can see from the pics, the seat sits 'on' the subframe now, rather than 'in' it, like the arse-section of the original golf seat does (it curves down between the two side bars). As the cobra seat floor is flat, it immediately starts off 2 inches higher than the original seats. Now, im 6ft 3, so even on the lowest setting, my head is hitting the roof , which is a problem, to say the least! Im not sure how i can overcome this problem, the actual cobra subframes that u can buy with the seats are still too high, i was wondering whether the corrado subframes were physically smaller, allowing more room, if i welded in those 2 sections like i did on these golf frames. I dont suppose anyone has any ideas / could possibly take pics of their corrado subframes, which would be much appreciated! Edited by: richgit
****Moved to Correct Section**** Mk2 Scirocco subframes fit a Mk2 Golf perfectly and sit lower.........
