i need a new uv joint for my mk1 . it's the connecting rod from the steering column to the steering rack. i been quoted 190+VAT form VW. will any of the other mk1's fit onto mines? (mk1 1.6GTi) the rod has a UV joint either end of the steel rod. I dont have the part # @ hand.
As far as I know you should be okay with any other MK1 steering UJ. There was a steering column change at some point throught the MK1's production I beleive, but this was just to the way that the column colapsed in a crash. I'm pretty sure the measurements at the bottom stayed the same.
