The software version of Vag Com I have seems to not be working. I know my cable works because I've used it with a friends laptop 12 months ago and it still lights up when I connect it to the VAG COM lead in the car. Software is running on all ports and is connected but I can't get any readings off the car. I also know that it works on the car as GVK explained in a recent telephone convo that he had run the car on vagcom previously for the previous owner. Can anybody tell me which version of the software I need to download as there appears to be loads! Engine code is AGU. (mk4 1.8t engine)
409.1 or i have just used vcds lite the latest vesion released tis month. I have used it today with my 3rd party interface
Some 3rd party cables only work with the cracked software that was supplied with the cable. This means an automatic update on the software can also stop it from working.
