it's on the side of the dash on the driver side

i think it is fuse 15 but it will tell you on the cover

it will bring up a fault code but you can clear that later

Having this problem on a 2004 Polo GT TDi, only it wont talk to ANY controllers!!

Car starts and runs fine but feels a little 'flat' for a 130 BHP diesel
It was bought accident damaged and battery went flat several times during repairs and once when repaired. So a new battery was fitted but i know they hold fault codes and wanted to clear them, but no communication!!

Its a proper vagcom lead via gendan in uk

It has aftermarket stereo which i will unplug later and also try the clocks fuse.
    I will post results tomorrow....

sorry what i meant was will vcds lite communicate with the dash clocks? if not then the problem is between the cluster and the vag-com port. the engien diagnostics go to the dash first, hen from there to the vagcom port. if the dash wasnt able to talk to the ecu then the immobiliser wouldnt work so its not that unless the ecu has had this defeated...
