    Nice

    Where's the TT wheels gone??

Thats the car park next to the dodgy sex shop isn't it?

You going to keep the lights like that, or bring it up one level? ;)

I like the wheels too! One thing I've always thought though is that the rear could come out a bit, 5-10mm spacers.. I know a few guys in the states have done it..

I decided that 17s weren't for me. At least it only cost me 300 to find that out.

Not sure what you mean about the lights. I will be getting crystal indicators - this time with real fogs instead of dummies.

I may end up going for the spacers but not sure how much - I actually think it could do with 25mm.

Oh and of course I'm going to drop it by another few mm in time for norice.

Like the car, but the angel eyes don't do it for me I'm afraid, but it's all down to personal taste. :)

No worries mate - to each his own as they say.

Don't know how long they'll stay in any case - I've got a hankering for the R32 look ones.

Looking good mate, you've got same back lights as mine now ;) I know what you mean, mines got FK everything on at the moment too! How is your suspension these days? Mine seems to rub everywhere and its not even as low as I used to have it running on Apex springs [:^(]
What wheels you going for next?

    Cheers guys.

    Pat

Suspension is fantastic. It's a shame I didn't put this on when I had the original 15s - I would have saved myself a few hundred quid.

To say it's a different car is an understatement. Turn-in is much sharper. the ride quality is much improved and overall handling is far better than before.

As for the future, I'll look out for a set of second hand Mk3 Anni's but nothing over 16". I can't really get any flash wheels as the car lives on the road overnight.

so what engine has that car got? Is it an 8v gti, cos I noticed that you dont have the side arches (I thought some people don't like the side arches though).

Whats next on the list for her then?

Lookin good by the way, and I reccommend the MK3 anni wheels, they do the job just fine.

It's just a standard 8v. I've left the GTI side strips on - for now - so when you're close up you can tell.

Next on the list is :
drop it some more now the 17s are gone
crystal inds/fogs, maybe side repeaters too
    Polo door handles all round
Colour coding bumpers/side strips and handles

Oh, and the small matter of a service.

BUT all of the above may go out of the window as there are 2 sets of Anni' wheels on ebay atm....

I just saw the 2 sets of BBS splits on Ebay, they're both mk4 wheels, not the mk3 anni ones, which means 6 1/2 x 16 ET42. The set without tyres looks good, and is priced well at 250 ATM. Be a good price probably under 300-350.

    I thought Mk4 was 6x16 and Mk3 was 6.5x16?

Aha, hence the (relative) abundance of 6.5s. Cheers Ian.

that extra 1/2 an inch wont make a world of difference, but if you can find a set of anni wheels, it's best to go for them. Those mk4 wheels are still virtually the same though, and you wouldnt be unhappy with them!
