when you say fast top end, do you mean you are aiming for top speed? Higher ratios would make the car have a slower engine speed everywhere - great for cruising. Not sure if you need the gearbox for any specific reason but the g60 is cable change and the 16v is a rod change box - probably more hassle than it is worth since imho cable change feels worse...
Sorry lower ratio's. The box isn't for a specific reason. There was a G60 box on ebay for 46 current bid with 1hr 56m. Like you said, valvers have rod change and those things are cable with hydraulic clutch. I had someone who could have done the work for me. I need a new box anyway. Looking for a cheap option rather than $bill re-build. As always, if you need something doing properly, you have to pay top dollar. Cheers Jag. Edited by: Jsem
