Its got to be lowering for me to.

Any Dub looks great low, especially a MK2 slammed on a set of deep dish [:D]

Would then most likely go for a performance exhaust

I'm confused why 9 people have voted for 2.0 engine conversion! There is no base car!

Surely it depends on what the car needs, ie if the bushes feel soggy then you might as well polybush it, if the exhaust is rotten, upgrade and replace etc.

I was thinking in terms of standard car in good nick with nothing NEEDING to be done to it.

With that in mind I'm surprised that a 2.0 engine conversions is top.

I'd like to vote for leather covered engine bay trims...preferably with 'Driven Daily' written on them. They are the shiz.

Although I'm a big fan of the 'Ben-Hur' look...especially pleasing to see 3/4 of an inch of finely hand polished alloy sticking out past the tyre, which in turn sticks out past the rear arch...even with 3 1/2 degrees of rear negative camber to achieve that all important 'tuck'.

    What gives?

I cant vote anymore, whats up with that!?

If I could, I would also go with GTI cam in a driver, made a very noticeable difference in mine, second choice would be GTI ARB on a driver, also very good!

Edit: Yes I can vote, and I have!

    Exactly.

The question was; `What would be the first thing you would do to a standard car?` (by `car` I`m guessing Gaz means `Mk2`...)

Ain't that the truth - standard non-GTi brakes are frightening...even the GTi ones aren't a lot better.

Wasn't happy until I had the corrado brakes on mine - now I can go fast AND stop fast.

Where was the option for CHOOOOOONS? 2 x plastic paper-coned 12" subs and a M*t*rw*rld amp for bassus maximus to impress the babes working the late shift at Maccy Ds?
