Wifey getting me some lowering springs for xmas, but what do i get?????????MK3 VR6, i have two kids and load up at the weekend with shopping every week. Would -40mm be ok for the rear? what about the front? -40 don't seem to be enough as it sits rather high at the front. Do all kits come with the front and rear drop the same, or can you get them with more drop at the front than the rear? ie, -40 rear and say -50 for the front????????????

dont do it - you'll hate it - your kids will hate it and your wife will leave you.

-40mm should be fine, don't dick about with -60mm though. :)

eibach springs/koni adjustable shocks...has excellant ride quality and you have the option of stiffening it up when going for a thrash on your own (make sure you specify top adjustable's for rear!!)

Standard shocks + lowered spings = never a good idea.

If you must I would recommend Eibach springs. You can then get the wife to get you Koni's next Xmas or birthday!

standard shocks + lowered springs = much, much better than standard shocks + standard springs.

    ...thats the jist of it!
