VR6 tickover.

    Could somebody tell me how to turn up the tickover on a VR6 please.And what it should be.
    Now it is about 550rpm.

    Don't know how to turn it up but i think mine idles at around 600 fully warmed up.

    I think they should idle at about 650-700rpm. I would clean out the throttle body and check that the ISV is buzzing at idle. Clean out the ISV and its pipes also.

    If that does'nt cure your problem I would get the car connected to VAGCOM.

    theres only ISV's on obd1 (pre'96) vr's. andysdad, have you discovered vr6oc.com yet? ;)
