    Hello!

I really really need to identify what these wheels are. Here is a picture

I *think* they are called spa alloys. I need these babies in my life - in four stud patern. I have also seen them on a number of gti golfs in 5 stud.

    Help me!

Do you know anybody who has a polo or mk3 cab who has taken these wheels off and dont want them ?

I saw this car in vindis show room, and read the tyre profile. Measurements - 15 - 195/50. The vindis guys could not identify the type of alloy even though it is a vw standard! idiots..

    thx

They used to be optional on the Polo 16V. I had them on my Polo but the tyres are supposed to be 195/45/15. I honestly cannot remember the name of them.
They are BBS wheels and as you said they were on the Mk3 GTI & VR6 with the 5 stud pattern. You may struggle to find a new set.

I think they're called "Indiannapolis" (sp?). They're on etka if you've got that.

don't think theres many of them around as they weren't fitted as standard but were an optional extra (if I remember correctly).

look like solitudes as fitted to mk3 vr6 and gtis (also corrado storms) but they are 5 bolt, I think the bolt ones like that were an option on the mk3.5 cabrios.... dunno if they had the same name though.

The ones on the Mk3 5 stud, where called BBS Solitude. I'm presuming they are still called the same in 4 stud?

Yep look like solitudes to me I also seen them on almost new Mk4 cabrio sporting the same wheels in four bolt fitment.

ETKA is the program VW use to identify parts using 3d exploded diagrams ! You can get one off ebay for a tenner but you have to be able to run a v.high resolution to get it to work.

there my wheels!!!! okay, no they're not, i've got the 5 stud ones!

and yes, i'd expect that them to be called 'solitude', as the 5 stud ones are.

    look good don't they?

hayesey - the 'indianapolis' are the o.e. polo 16v and glx alloys. they are 14" and a flat five spoke design. my girlie has them on her polo.

they are called solitudes, they were a option on the polo 16v, they were priced at 560 on top of the list price of the polo 16v, only was a option on the 16v's, very rare and also very nice.

also they are 4 stud making them rarer than the one's off the golf.

yes i looked into adapters, its not worth it imo. like 65 quid front, and i would have to do a complete converstion of the rear drums, not to mention adapter (spacers) will push out the rim to far fking up handling and causing mot failure.

Nice idea but not something im going to do i dont think. I will just stick to a four stud.
