Have been running a standard fit VW ipod adapter in my mk5 for a few months. Was working fine until the other day when I started the car, heard a beep from the stereo and now no longer have playlists on the display (CD 1-6), and it only plays a tiny selection of tracks on there. Have an '05 GTI and a 120GB iPod Classic. Anyone experienced similar? Any ideas?
My vw iPod connection has just recently stopped too. I saw a error message on the display 'no crc' Or something like that..not worked since. I can only select cd's now . Last weekend I disconnected the cable reset everything - but it's Still not working..grr!
I've only see them completely fail requiring a new control box, if the wires not been pulled out of it does the charge light work on ipod/ cabke suddenly got longer?? Most VW accessories are covered for 2 years
