   Hi does the mk1 golf Gti have a gauze filter on the wur and if it does is it easy to get to and what is the best way to clean the filter e.g carb cleaner or brake cleaner

   all the ones ive seen have mesh on the inlet ....carb cleaner would be the stuff , but if its full of rubbish be carefull not to blast it past the filter

   the side with the mesh is the inlet it is also the bigger union
   i tend to use a air line to back flush them
   
   i posted a picture of one i stripped i'll see if i can find it
