VW tools

    come on there has to be somewhere to buy them from?!

    i need the camshaft tool for a vr6 (no. 3628 i think)

    tried that...they said they don't sell them!

    anyone know (or better yet work at) a friendly vw dealer that can help me out?

    This website was mentioned but unfortunately it is American so I don't know what delivery charges are going to be like.

    The tool isn't totally necessary, can be done carefully by just looking at it.

    ok, then, should the slots be totally parallel (same angle as) the edge of the head? or another way of asking the same q, is the special tool totally flat?
    also, which valves should be open for TDC?

    any pics anyone has would be appreciated. i just wanna be certain of this really, i think i know the answer.

    Its as in the pic i posted

    Look at this way, imagine both cams were next to each other, if you put a steel rule in the slots, it will only go in if both slots are dead horizontal.
