wasn't it the rear windows? heard that a while back, was cause they hadn't allowed for the window expanding when using the demister!

whats this about mkIV windows falling out? i've never heard of it before? which window? anyone had it happen?

This is a big problem with MK4s

The window regulators fail. The windows stops working or falls in the door. The parts are plastic and crap.

A friend of mine works for VW and does loads of these.

VW know about it but don't seem to fix the design prob.

We had this problem with our MK4 did you know all the MK4's were recalled and had them replaced with metal ones in the states, why coulnd't they just do it here as vw know there is a problem.
Instead of us having to wait till your window is broken, stuck with it outdoors all night with window stuck down in the door, then making us pay for the replacement metal part.

Here they try to sell you the complete kit but I got the part number from the US and managed to order it here and yes they were metal and worked!
