Hi all. Any ideas where the water might be getting into this area in picture? Tried feeling round lights etc but can't find where it's coming in. I removed the grommet to let the water out that was in that compartment.
Only leak I've ever had in an mk2,the sealing rubber compress's down and the light becomes slightly loose then dirt and crap gets in between the body and the seal,water usually leaks out of the mounting studs in the taillight housing. Remove light and clean the foam seal,light and the body,be careful not to overtight the nuts when refitting otherwise the light may crack @ those points. I pulled both lights and cleaned the inside of the lense's @ the same time, surprizing how dirty they get inside.
Inside my rear lights have no moisture or dirt so thought it wasn't leaking, but will remove today and at least clean them.
