Got to have a go at using a sabre in Tai Chi today. Which is nice considering it's only my third lesson. What a really cool weapon. Possibly not as cool an nunchuka's but still a big pile of fun. Want to get a combat steel one so I'm used to the weight right from the start.
remember the words of the enlightened. Confucius, he say, "4 feet of cold japanese steel, is no match for 9mm of copper jacketed lead."
Swords are great fun, but the Bo staff is my favourite weapon, most satisfying swinging them about. Also more likely to find something similar if you get in a tight spot in the real world, i.e pool cue or pole, than a sword or nunchuk.
True, I'm going to get one of them aswell. Good thing about the bo staff is you can attack with either end to keep em guessing and keep people at a distance with it. (and they look cool when they've been hacked at a bit) Only know one or 2 steps with the bo staff so far hopefully be a bit better for woodstock. However it was cool learning to do short form with the sabre last night.
Yeah, thats all very well but my polo is actually far deadlier, are you really goping to meess with me with a stabby thing if im driving towards u at 70 mph? and hey, that weapon isnt illegal lol
Just had a play with Nunchuks tonight. None of the whizzing round your head Bruce Lee style but using them to break wrists, arms and even necks. I love Aikido-Te it's so sneaky!
guns for show knifes for a pro! knifes big fck off shiny ones! i get worried when people started wanting swords! mates got some very large sharp ones!
Only seen a mate use nunchuks once, just practicing getting up to speed while keeping them close to the body.
