Hi guys, im new to this site..

i have a mk2 1600 8v.. it has a slight problem with idel, drive seems fine although there is a slight judder on low revs..

the idel is sitting at around 350rpm on tickover then stalls after a couple of seconds.. It is currently running a webber carb.

I've tried playing with the idel screw and it makes no difference, the carb seems abit wobbly on the block but i thought i'd check here first as im new to carb engines.

    Any advice would be great..

    Thanks. :)

idle should be alot higher than 350rpm (mine is nearer 1k)

the gasket thing the carb sits on could have a leak / crack
