weber carb setting up and ajustments

    hi there recently changed my engine from a 1985 1.3 to a 1990 1.3....swapped over my weber.....and i think it needs setting up....Symptom-fires then a sharp bang and smoke out the top of the weber...?!...any suggestions to do this(im sure its probably a well covered topic):p

    im having a long discussion regarding this with someone atm via pms on another board, ill post some results.. i could tell you the standard jettings you need.. might be worth putting new in then going and getting it tuned up properly?

    sounds like a timing problem to me

    just to get her running would be a very good start:p if it is the timing how can i check if she doesn't run?[8(]

    First thing to do is check you've got all the HT leads going from the correct connections on the distributor cap to the correct plugs. :)

    ignition timing was a wee out!!:lol:
