Weighted Shift rod?

Are these any good? weighted shift rod for a Mark II. anyone got one or recommend?

Ive got one off a mk3 - tis a cool mod for a tenner and 3 minutes to fit

 

whats it do? (obviolusly improves the feel, in what way?)

in which you engage a gear. without effort it slides into gear really easily. combine that with a short shift kit at 30, it will make a big difference

Yeh dont pay a tenner for a 2nd hand one i got one for free at a scrappy off a mk3 u shud get one for a couple of quid.

 

How heavy is the weight? I'm thinking of bodging -er building one..
