BBS RZ commonly found on E30 BMWs, not to be confused with BBS E30.

I thought RZ's only came in 15 inch and look quite different to the E30 alloys (again only 15 inch AFAIK) the centres differ. 14 inch makes me think aftermarket.

    BBS (G60) RZ alloys PN 191 601 025 AA
    ET 33 6.5J R15 4x100
    7.8kg (17.2lbs)

    And they look like this:

So they could be copies [:^(]

I'd say they are bmw bbs. The 15" bmw cross spokes are very similar to the G60 wheel. The g60 'Y' spokes slightly curve out.

does the centre cap twist off or pull off? BMWs always used twist off centre caps where the VW ones are pull off. Someone has probably changed the bmw emblem to a bbs one on yours as they are still available to buy.

Can you look at the wheel where the centre cap fits for any markings, this could help to identify them, if they are BBS it will be cast into the wheel there.

Think they were a dealer fit option, my 1990 mk2 had them on.

Seen plenty of mk2s with them on.

Well i have shed some light on my BBS wheels i contacted BBS late last week and after sending photos of the wheels with part number they have comfirmed they are original BBS  here is the email..

    Hi Scott,

    thanks for the photos.

In this case I can confirm that your wheels are original BBS wheels. The wheel type is RZ305 (14"x6.5, offset 30, 4x100).
The KBA number (40988) relates directly to this wheel type and thanks to some other special marks we can be sure that the wheels are no fakes.

I hope this information helps you.

    Regards, Claudia

So good news for me and will go ahead and get them refurbed
