haha, yeah you COULD afford a 200 on that budget, AND have enough change for a new set of big end shells and an engine rebuild in 1000miles time

I was looking at getting a 2nd car down the road and a few of the mentioned above were considered.

I also looked into 'MR2 turbos' and Celica GT-fours which have the subtle bodykits making them look like rally replicas [:D]

Usual hot hatches did include the phase 1 clio 172 cups with A/C, 306 Rallyes but these have the 'chav' image and bad boy rep.

As for a Rado; i noticed the VR6's have a book figure of 0-60mph in 6.7 secs according to parkers which is a damm site quicker than i thought they were. Plus the VR6 note is sweet! [:D]

I've heard that VR engines are less reliable and poor on fuel.

I've got two G60's and both never miss a beat and are great on fuel.

Guessing you was looking at S14's. S13's are super cheap. Although have gone up a bit recently with the jap crazy.

I'd try and get an Mitsubishi Evo 2. There cool. And not that common.

Or Lancia Delta. Not that it would work at that price, but look good on the drive.lol

Think I might do a sideways swap from a Golf 16v to a Corrado 16v. Should be able to get one for about 1700 and have some money left from my selling my golf.

Got my MOT today, car might be up for sale by the end of the week...[:s] Just really fancy a change for some reason.

I get like that all the time, have to go buy cars on GranTurismo, to get it out of my system. LOL Cheaper that way.

I went back to owning a Corrado after years away... They don't age well.. It lasted a week.. [8(]
Get a Mk3 Golf, (I did) they're more reliable, cheaper to run, easier to work on if you need to, cheaper than chips parts, not too bad performance wise, plus the interior is still quite modern compared to the Corrado which is sooooo 80's.. but hey, the decision is yours..... [:D]

(I'd take up the offer of that grey one on TT Comp's!! Looks mean!) Plus you'll have loadsa moola left over to get it how you want and fuel it for ages!! ;)

    EDIT:

Just checked the spec on this thing!!!!! See the thread...
