What fuel in your GTI?

If your car is remapped its even more critical that you run 99RON fuel.

 

my mk4 feels nicer on tescos rather than shell, its remapped with addtional timing

 

Ive heard mixed things about Tesco 99. I rated it quite highly in my ED30, but after speaking extensively to a REVO tuner and Carl at REVO I'm not so sure now. (unless they are both receiving commissions) From what I can gather, Tesco 99 is just 95RON with additives to make it ~99RON (similar to using octane booster). Also it appears that Vpower is very consistent, where as the Tesco 99 is hit and miss with regards to RON rating.

 

when i was fiddling with the ECU on mine i ran a couple tanks on vpower and then tesco and checked the timing correction by the ECU, less timing correction on tescos for mine

 

I use petrol, diesel made it run crap.

Tesco 99 or Vpower for me, i find that a mix of the both seems to work well.
