Hello everybody, was hoping if you could help me. Am in the market for buying a haynes manual. I noticed there a few that seem to cover the same cars, same model year etc. The car I have is Mk3 Golf GTI 16valve. Any advice as to which haynes manual is the best for me would be gratefully appreciated thanks Jocks1982
Hi jocks, there is only one really, the standard Golf mk3/Vento covers everything from 1.4 up to 2.0L 16V DOHC and diesels, not VR6. There is another one called Golf GTI I think, but doesn't go into any detail regarding the everyday maintanace of the car and was originally aimed at the mk1/mk2 Golfs with a little of the mk3. Looks like this: More details available from the Haynes website.
Thanks for your help Hi thanks for your help I should buy a copy of that then. Thanks for your help garfayliu. I seen this one from haynes is this a good one for my car or have I got that wrong. Cheers

Hi, thats the same manual as the one above, except the cover picture on yours is of the USA version. USA VW Haynes catalogue
Hi, id give the haynes manual a miss. it covers basic stuff for the car. but has very few wiring diagrams. ive bought a robert bentley manual for my girlfriends mk 3. its a bit more expensive but it covers everything, including vr6 as well search it on google cheers
Thanks Hi, thanks for all your help on this matter its been greatly appreciated. Stupid me there gettin the USA one mixed up with the English one. I'll look into the Robert Bentley manual and see what thats about. Thanks again Jocks1982.
