well i was planning on coming up to ragley - but then on friday i was told i was off to do something else, i little trip with work - Muscat (Oman) Reunion Island (between Madagascar and Mauritius) then Nairobi (Kenya) and then back home... never realised this was next to the base - it's quite picturesque though.... white cliffs... good light over indian ocean at 5am and even better light a few mins later Reunion Island shows itself through the morning mist not very obvious it's all one big volcano... (was due to go active again sometime this week) so then we went to Kenya - and decided to have a look round the Nairobi national park and yes all the animals are wondering what we are doing there at such a stupid time of morning... after the Rhino came over we decided it was time to leave! only got back yesterday - so bit late for a "my weekend" post. but who cares. just thought i'd add this That's a C17, which is what i travel the world in. well yes i was getting paid for it - we didn't take a camera to the beachside bar at Reunion Island to show us spending the food allowance. Yep, and I haven't seen a curry for it yet Mind you, they've got this bearded bloke tied to a chair in Iraq.. which'll do for now.
