I'm going to stick out my necka and say a nice big 'Yes'.

I've used it in my last couple of cars. MK2 1.6 Driver and MK2 valver.

If you're planning on doing regular changes then you'll be fine.

If you're changing from another type of oil then do a 1k change, then a 3 k change then go to your normal service intervals... laughing!!

Hope this helps. It really worked for me, love the stuff

    Thanks

Always put 10/40 semi in the Golf but wasn't sure if the Lupo would need the fully synthetic instead. No idea what's in it at the moment but it's only done 30k.

    Cheers for the help.

5w/40 - 0w/40 - 10w/40 will all be fine, synthetic or semi. Some VW people say 5w/30 but the 1.4 engines are known to burn oil.

Generally or specific problem areas? It does smell a lit fumey/oily. Gone about half way down the dipstick in 3k miles.

It's getting the same as the Golf - 10/40 synta silver. Job done
