Hi all, Just a quick question to get your valuable opinions. If I was going to pay up to 2,500 notes for a 1.8T 20V Golf GTI what would you say the highest miles and age would be that I should be looking for or expect to get? Cheers Al
Hi Al, The girlfriend has recently brought a MK4 20V T for 2700, It has full service history, Usual GTi refinements, heated leather Recaro interior, climate control, winter pack, Audi RS8 alloys, 75,000 miles on the clock. HTH Nick
I Paid... I got my Silver 5 door 99 (T) Turbo for 2150 with 111k on the clock but with only 2 owners and FSH.
When i was searching for my 20VT, nearly every MK4 under 3000 had 100,000 miles or over on nearly all of them, and they were all early examples... But then i found the mintest example going for 4500, so i bought it. 2002 1.8T AUM, 50,000 on it, not a scractch in sight as had been garaged, electric everything, air con, full VW service history, ect, ect.....
i brought a 51 plate aum 12mths ago i paid 2980 for from a local garage it it's a black 3 door done 109,000 when i bought it, got full history with load of paperwork we then went out and found a friend a y plate again an aum which had done 57000 again full history and paid 2900 for that one thats a silver 5 door ,i wouldn't worry to much about mileage as long as it has the history to back it up i had mine mapped when i bought it it's now done 120,000 with no issues
i have just bought a 20v t paid 3000 very clean example tho. Any i looked at for less were a bit shabby and had at least 110k on the clock.
