    I want to turbo a 2 litre 9A block that I have.
What stronger rods could replace the standard ones?
What i'm gettin at is,are there any same size rods that are stronger?
    1.9 diesel for example.......
    S2 rods maybe......

You see,I wanna build it 2 litre for low down grunt and I have the 9A
and a 1.9 diesel engines already.

I'm runnun a 9A with low comp pistons in my Rallye with standard 9A
rods but only at 11 psi,but would ideally want to run 18 to 21psui Max on
the turbo engine which is going to be going in a MK1 non sunroof GTi.

    Any ideas.....?????

    Thanks,Gavin

Your best bet are some forged rods, Eurospec, JE, etc.

The rods on the 9A and KR are quite robust if you are going to stick to a 7000rpm limit or so with bigger pressure pushing the pistons down.
PSI or boost pressure means very little if the air is not getting trapped into the combustion area. This is very dependant on turbo choice.
For the ulitmate robustness to the rods becoming stressed for a 300+ lbft engine, I would upgrade to H sections items. If you are not going to achieve anywhere near that torque then you will be ok on the std items.
