what size is the bolt................

that holds the oil/water cooler on the engine of a 9A/KR engine, mine for some reason is not on the right way round.

i know for a fact its bigger than 24mm and smaller than 30mm as neither of my sockets fitted anyone know what size it is??

Use a pair of pipe grips, shouldnt be up that tight.
Probably a 27mm

 

27mm fits it but not a 'good' fit

 

hmmmmm ok, so do i buy a 27mm socket or a bigger adjustable wrench? mine is about 0.5mm too small for it!!!

My set came with imperial sockets. I think it's 1 1/8" that fits perfectly.

I think I used an imperial socket on mine too, either that or a huge moving spanner as it doesn't need to be very tight anyway.
