I'm after a sub for a custom built sealed enclosure. not sure of the volume of the box. It will be mdf/fibre glass box built into the recess on the left side of my boot (mk3 golf). Maybe someone has built one previously and knows the approximate volume?

I have Infinity Reference CS6510 components up front and am after a sub that will compliment by taking care of the low end stuff.

I'm not interesting in making myself deaf or flexingmy roof or windows.

    Recommendations please

Could try the Fli subs. Made by vibe so should be fairly decent on a low budget, haven't heard them properly yet though.

It is a little over 40, but is worth the extra cash if you want a brand new sub. We've got the bottom of the range 12" mutant, and It sounds fantastic, clear, crisp and copes with anything we've thrown at it, (Jazz/metal/punk/pop/dance you name it we've tried it!) so I imagine the model up should be even better.

Fli subs are good! A seller called No1IceDog on ebay sells loads of open boxed Vibe/Fli subs, worth having a punt as seen some Fli active 12inch subs in boxes go for 50 inc p&p!
