What to look out for on a g60 engine

    I'm going to look at a G60 engine tommorrow, just wondering if there is anything to look out for. It is out of a rallye so has a stronger block apparently. Its also had the head flowed, uprated cam (not sure which one) and a new stage 4 charger from jabbasport.

    Excessive oil in the inlet or charger is a bad thing.

    Also check the crank pulley as the woodruff keys can shear.

    what is classed as 'Excessive oil' as I has an amount at the moment

    The G60 I bought had an R1 charger fitted, with proof that it was only 15k old, I had it inspected anyway and was glad I did, the main oil seals hadn't been replaced - I would always budget for a supercharger inspection regardless of how new it is - just for peace of mind if nothing else
