What video editing software are people using? I'm just about to get a bullet camera to capture all my track day action. What is the most user friendly software to use? (preferably free!) I want to be able to transfer from my Mini DV and be able to crop clips together, add music, titles & comments. I may also want to add another camera view into the corner of the screen (rear facing etc)

    Any help appreciated.

I've got that pinnicale stuff with my dazzle box...it's so user friendly I find it a pain to use...would be interested in some better stuff...I know adobe do one but apparently it's hardcore to get to grips with.

if you have a mac there's free software available called iMovie, really easy to use and got enough features to keep you happy for a couple yrs film making. Recently bought a copy of final cut pro myself which is amazing, all the features you could ever want but much harder to use than iMovie

    cheers

Adobe Premiere is the king really i think , its worth learning it and buying a book on the subject and it then become much much better than any of the low end stuff, i did this but the bigger the movies you edit the more time you invest in doing it the less you want software problems

I've posted this question on Videoforums. Some of the pros on there recon I should start with Windows Movie Maker. Had a look last night as it's already installed on all XP machines. Looks fairly user friendly.

    Anyone else using WMM?

yeah but its fairly limited I think.

I started to use adobe premiere, in the first 15 minutes odd I got to grip with the 'basics' without any help, I made this video with it just to experiment...
