seriously considering a diesel rocco presently and fancy a blue one with those wheels on

probably 17's though as the roads round here have turned to crap, bumpy as hell

17's look utterly terrible on the rocco, the arches are WAY to big on the car. 18's minimum.

Its not exactly a low profile 18" tyre either at a 235/40

it depends on what roads you have I guess - my audi has 235/40/18's and it is well uncomfortable now since the last winter road damage

was thinking of a 50 profile to cushion the holes a bit - maybe an 8x17 - but the really nice wheels above only come in 7x17....hmm

right - had a dig around the VW website and it seems the available wheels are:

    17" donnington (235/45/17)
    18" interlagos and talledega (235/40/18)
    19" lugano and talledaga (235/35/19)

what have folks got fitted to their cars? some pics for comparing them would be handy if you have any?

    Cheers

    Rob

    19" lugano

    lugano vs interlagos

    lugano has a flatter spoke

obviously the bigger wheels look great, but I dont think the 17's look too bad either - and a 17 is still a big wheel for the size of the car - might actually be better dynamically than the larger wheels?....

Bit more interesting comparison - tyre prices

Michelin PS2 and Goodyear F1 asymmetric (prices from camskill)

    17" - 117, 101
    18" - 167, 120
    19" - 200. 149

Trackday tyres - only R888 listed on camskill in 19"....and that wont be cheap at all

    Hankook trackday tyre - 107 in 17 and 135 in 18

Ess_three has the VW Racing wheels which are basically Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in a different colour.

I agree that a 17" wheel will look pants, unless you were lowering the car? its not that 17's are small for the size of car - more the fact you can fit your head in the wheel arch gap of the rocco (yes ive tried!!)
